1998 Mercedes C230 Wiring Schematic

im trying to find one.

my friends girlfriend wants some bass and i need to know ifthere are things i need to work around.

im not sure if there is some amp hidden in there somewhere or if i need to use rca or high level inputs.

thats the only issue i have right now

if anyone can help id be very thankful

regardless if the vehicle has the Bose system or not, behind the radio you will have the high level outs in full range. you want the white and the pink twisted pair. the brown striped is ground

The blue and white wire located behind the amp in pin A5 is the remote turn on for the Bose amp and the antennas, you can use that for your amp turn on.

you will need the removal tools that slide in at the bottom corners, you will see the slots for it.

Yeah there is a bose amp in the car somewhere. In mine, I just put a kenwood deck in and Ran RCA's to the trunk to an aftermarket amp and ran that amp to my speakers. Made life alot better. As far as a wiring loom goes, VW and Mercedes should be the same. Thats what was used in mine.

the amp should be in the trunk on the passenger side and should look somewhat like this one

not all had the amp, it was an option with code 801, Bose hi line upgrade.

If your door speaker have the Bose logo on it then the amp is mounted vertically on the right rear wall - seat back (well just off the wall) you can also grab the wires there going into the amp as they are a hi-level from the radio including the turn on
