MickyMcD
Shotgun not lifting that rack. Quick, do you find that you have any correlation problems with your horns at all? I wouldn't think so, but I am very curious. I haven't seen that design used before. Just did a gig yesterday with 4 NeXo PS15's and 4 duplicates of the NeXo 18" woofer (the freaky deaky weird bandpass setup) off a single LabGruppen FP6400+ with the PS controller.... ....and it sucked. Bigtime. The crossover points were all wrong, and I could hear one of the diaphragms in the high end drivers smashing against the phase plug. These were really well looked after...... qu1cks1lver56
hahaha that rack is HEAVY. we would have some correlation problems with the horns since theyre a 90 x 40, but we "manipulated" them a little to narrow them some, and it worked out great, and talk about low end coupling up the middle, standing inbetween the stacks there really wasnt a need for subs, but they helped take some of the load off the tops, but we needed another pair of subs and another vz5000, it just wasnt enough to keep up with the top boxes. our gig last night went as good as it couldve gone with a sucky band. it was a guns n roses tribute band. they couldve cared less about music they just wanted free shots and beer. but our part went good. O lawd..... Nice rig though. I think you'd be able to pull some serious noise out of that. Great to hear about the new stuff, can you either post or PM me some photo's when it arrives? Cheers, Mick hahaha yes it is a pair of community's flown from the handles, some club system eh? they had a powered danley 15" but they blew it up. oh yeah we made lots of noise with that rig, the subs were having a hard time keeping up, and if the tops had the right 15's in them it wouldve been even worse. they got loaded up with some crap, low efficiency eminence drivers, they need the gauss(sp?) 15's they had when they were new. yeah ill post a few pictures of the new stuff once we get it back to the shop and unloaded, im excited about the 36 channel 3500, no more hauling the beast 4k to smaller gigs! qu1cks1lver56
hey mick, just got back to the shop. heres a sneak peak of all the 3x3's we got 14 of them, processors, ALL the flyware, all the cabling, wheel dollies and covers. got 4 AE-5's from the guy for our small rig and as center fill for when we use the full big system. still going to get 2 more 3x3's, and 8 double 18 subs, still undecided on the subs. heard a KF 850 rig with some EV manifold subs and was pretty impressed with the manifolds worked with the 850's so were considering getting some of them. also thinking about buying some of the old Showco subs from Clair. but we'll see.
