Mendietal
the boxes dimensions are going to be 42-33-21 and im which comes out to about 8.4 cubic feet per sub before substracting displacment for subs and port, and it is going in the back of a fj cruiser all the way to where it fits through the trunk door which comes to 42 inches roughly Quote (1) Dc Lvl 5 18 (1) Digital designs M4a (1) 6 cubic foot box after displacement, tuned to 30 (1) DC 270 xp alternator (4) Kinetik 1400 batteries All 0 gauge Tsunami Comp wire

Mendietal
u mulitply the three then divide by 1728 then divide that number by the number of subs. i got this formula off the kicker box building tab on their website. its 42 inches high, 33 inches wide and 21 inches deep Edited October 31, 2009 by Mendietal Quote (1) Dc Lvl 5 18 (1) Digital designs M4a (1) 6 cubic foot box after displacement, tuned to 30 (1) DC 270 xp alternator (4) Kinetik 1400 batteries All 0 gauge Tsunami Comp wire
Kranny
i was using bass box pro thats why i asked what number was which. i was doing 42 wide 33 deep and 21 high. 2 of the 18's will work in a box down to 10cuft. you can put both subs in 1 box which will make it easier in my opinion. The A Team
Personally i would never go that large on a pair of 18s, unless i was putting a god awefully large port in and making a ss no wall box. lol Not for daily though. and for tuning it depends on what you want from it. Some people like super lows and nothing useful for music, others like a musical tone, and some spl. For example i like sharp tight accurate bass and i have had good luck tuning around 40 Hz to acheive this.
