Subsonic and level setting ?

I know every setup is different... what is a good general setting of the two until i can get to a Oscope and be dead on ?

Subsonic should be between 5-10hz below your tuning freq. gain depends on you hu output voltage or eq/line drivers.

Vehicle: 1997 S10 Blazer 4dr 4X4

my prefab boxes tunes to 45 so 35 hz. and my hu is 2 volts going into eq w/ 7 v output.....

if eq is 7 volts, do your best to guess where that is on the dial, most are labeled....

if you have one of those amps that only accepts say a 4v max, and the gain goes from 4v to 500mv for example, its basically gonna be stuck on zero

and prefab ftl...set subsonic to like 30-32 unless you're running way under rms to the sub, something tuned that high means a whole lot of under-tuning notes are in songs and you need to protect that woofer.
