the4stringking Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 I recently was given one of these from a friend. I hooked it up to my new fi q 12 at 2 ohms and it makes a weird buzzing sound that is really quiet thru the sub, regardless of volume, until you turn it up all the way, then it gets pretty loud but cuts out and doesn't pick up non generated bass such as a bass drum that loud at all. It also sounds like it has short bursts of power and then it gets weaker. The fuses are not external, so I haven't checked them, but I would think that it wouldn't work at all if they were blown. The ground is good.. RCA's are good and I even reversed them just to check and it still has the problem. Sub is in phase. Any idea of what the problem is?
