c_stud Posted November 11, 2009 Report Share Posted November 11, 2009 i had a system with a 8 gauge wiring, so i found some 4 gauge wiring switched the wiring out and now the amplifier goes in protect. so i unhooked the power and ground cables, pulled all fuses, just leaving the remote wire, and rca's attached it still went in to protect. i unhooked the remote wire and it went out of protect so i nicked the pinch-screw with the rem wire and it went in to protect again. what to do? 1998 Nissan 200sx NOW: Dex-p98r head Planet Audio 300.4 mids and highs Planet Audio/Pioneer tweeters/crossovers Skar SK1500.1 3 SKAR Vvx15 dual 4 wired at .63 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
finkster Posted November 11, 2009 Report Share Posted November 11, 2009 check your wiring. i dont know how you unhooked power and ground and it still went into protect. it shouldnt light up at all if theres no ground. just do pos, remote, and ground. unhook everything else and see if it goes into protect. what does your wiring look like? are there any cuts in the line somewhere? and make sure your ground is nice and clean, and in a good spot.
