Amp turned off and won't turn on

recheck your fuse and all ends of the wire.

either the wire isnt hooked up to the battery, the wire isnt connected to the fuse holder, the fuse is blown, or its not connected to the amp.

when it comes to your power wire, there are VERY FEW places where it could go bad.

Yea, I figured. I took the fuse out, it's fine. I made sure the connection at the fuse holder and amp are solid. I took of the connection at the battery terminal and cleaned it. I'll clean it some more. That's the only thing I can think of...

did you test the fuse with a DMM while its connected to the batt? sometimes part of the fuse can disconnect internally and you can't see it with the naked eye. hook up one end of fuse to wire to the batt and test the other end of the fuse. what type of fuse are you using?

You are right. I switched fuses on the my bass amp and mid/high amp and the bass amp worked again. It was the fuse. I can't see at all where it is broken. Looks a little bent, though. Oh well, I guess I'll just get another. It's a 60 amp fuse. Does that sound right for a SAZ-1000d with 4awg wires?

My amp has 3 25amp fuses. I'm assuming that's equal to one 75 amp fuse? Should I go a little higher rating on the fuse?

I would keep running the 60 amp, better your inline fuse die then your amp. I always do that for customers, since nubes tend to beat shit. Otherwise get really close to amps fuse rating without going over ONLY if you have proper electrical. If you don't have enough electrical for 1000 watts then run the 60amp fuse.

It's all gone!

is your sundown amp fused on the amp? 60 amp fuse seems kinda small for a 1000 watt amp. but i have no experience with sundown so i don't know what current draw it has. might wanna get a larger fuse. just look up specs on it and it should tell you the current draw then use a fuse of the same if not a tad larger amp rating for your batt fuse.

It doesn't have the current draw rating anywhere on their site. I do know the output to my sub is around 30a, and it says it is 86% efficient so lets say maybe at a peak it will output 35a to my sub, and at say 86% efficiency that would mean it's drawing right around 40 amps (35/.86=40.69). I think that's how it works, right? lol I'll see if I can find a 75amp fuse, if not, I'll just get another 60 and see how it goes.

Thank you all for responding and helping! I like CC's suggestion. I'll just go with another 60 amp fuse. I think I should be fine. If not, I'll be back ;)
