DylanH Posted November 11, 2009 Report Share Posted November 11, 2009 Okay..I have 2 Alpine type R 12s and an alpine mrp-m1000 amp..I was driving home today and it worked just fine then after about an hour i started my car and it didnt work at all..The amp still has the blue light on it to say that its on but there is no sound coming out of the subs..Yes they are hooked up. AI James Posted November 11, 2009 Report Share Posted November 11, 2009 amp hot to the touch when it went off? my wifes MRP500 randomly turned off the other day and we werent even bumping on it hard at all. turned car off and back on and she came right back on. scenario was just like yours too. Guest Posted November 12, 2009 Report Share Posted November 12, 2009 i dont think anyone said this yet. check with a multimeter and set it to Ohms and put it to each of your subwoofers. check each coil (you have 2 on each sub) and make sure they read within 2 ohms or 4 ohms (2 different models for type r's) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
