had the same thing happen, in every email i would say "Cash would be a better method, i guarantee this purchase is worth it" and they reply "i will send the money order blah blah blah.." and im like "NO CASH ONLY PLZ KTHNX" and finally they just stop... except i did get an email once from a scammer weeks after the ordeal and they just continued with "did you recieve the money order?"..

Total scam! Also, if they sign it with "regards" Or "best regards", usually it's a scam!

that is the most popular scam out there. it is very very common on CL.

just look out for poor english/typing and they always want to mail you payment and have the item shipped and there will be money left over that they want too.

i normally just reply with a short mesage telling them what i want to do to there daughter

i lol'd.

I almost went all the way through with one. The check actually got to my house, and I was like "Oh hell no!" So I tore it up and threw it away. Then she was like keep $100 more for the inconveniance. Yea right.

these fuckers set up ad's to sell shit aswell on cl, one i seen was a 06 gmc 2500 hd 4x4 pictures of the truck were very nice they only wanted 6 grand for the truck i was like wtf. i pretty much knew it was bs right from the start but figured i'd send an email to prove it. so i got an email back and it was basically the same shit broken english telling me the truck was in ohio and the seller had moved to california but if i sent all my personal info and a money order or a check to her address the truck would ship out when it was recieved. i LoLed i replyed to her/him with fuck off scammer and never got a reply back. just gotta watch out for shit and be smart.

when selling on Craigslist always Cash and in person ... that has scam all over it .. i would of passed on it as soon as i read "money order" or "can't meet in person" those are 2 scam alerts right there plus the rest of the message has scam all over it..
