curse
I'd try either an RE XXX (need a very large box though) or some Ascendant Audio, probably the RE XXX if it was up to me. if you're on a tight budget, the FI Q is a great sq sub and VERY cheap
OrionStang
Look man, JL is a VERY good SQ sub, but the brand is way overpriced. They can price the way they do because of the name. Jl is good SQ, but go something else if you want LOUD. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Toady
To Me The BTL Will Kill The w7 Hands Down. And YOu Could Also Get 2 BTLs for the price of 1 jl 13 w7. I Dont think the jl audio is worth it, you are paying 1000 dollars plus for the name
actafool4187
i have a 12" JL W7 and love it. it's definitely an SQ sub, but beats pretty good. i had a pair of 13.5" JL W3's which i'm still trying to sell, and those were about the equivalent to the W7 i am running now. i find 12" W7's on craigslist for $350-$400 all the time. that's what i paid for mine. not bad for that price at all. i've never heard the other sub you are refering to in person for a comparison, but that's my feedback on the JL Pioneer AVH P5900DVD JL Audio XR525 CSi Components (Kickpanels) Infinity Reference 6020cs Components (Doors) JL Audio 12W7 Subwoofer JL Audio e1800D Amplifier JL Audio e4300D Amplifier
sully
I worked at a JL dealer for years, the stuff is awesome SQ wise but way too much money. W7's are way over hyped and they fall way short when compared to subs even at half their price. If SQ means a lot to you go with the FI Q, if you want a little of both SQ and SPL try the BL or the DC lvl4's. You could do one of these subs and get the amp you need for less than just the W7 retails for. If you are intense with the SQ you should look into doing an 8 or a 10 in a T-Line, the 13W7 is going to be overkill in a SQ build anyway. 2003 Ford F-150 Reg Cab layin body on 26's 2003 Tahoe 3/5 drop on 26's with a 408cid Supercharged engine. 2011 Camaro 2SS 2005 VW GTI Stage II ECU, CAI, 3" turbo back exhaust, FMIC, lowered 2" on some plastidipped 18's 2003 Hayabusa lowered, stretched, cams, nitrous and custom paint

They don't come alive in sealed at all, ported on them is night and day difference. That goes for pretty much the whole JL line, never liked their subs sealed. 2003 Ford F-150 Reg Cab layin body on 26's 2003 Tahoe 3/5 drop on 26's with a 408cid Supercharged engine. 2011 Camaro 2SS 2005 VW GTI Stage II ECU, CAI, 3" turbo back exhaust, FMIC, lowered 2" on some plastidipped 18's 2003 Hayabusa lowered, stretched, cams, nitrous and custom paint
