For an install like you're interested in getting done I'd say that $3000 more than likely would be on the pretty low side. You're saying that you have money to play with but truthfully when all is said and done you will be looking at around the $20,000 range or possibly more. Then as anyone knows who has owned a high powered/large cone area setup, things are ALWAYS bound to happen. Then even if everything is in full working order, parts WILL break on your vehicle at a pretty alarming rate.

I think I am already starting to break into that $20,000 range seeing how I almost have all the subs (I actually need 3 more), but outside of that I already stated that I figured that it would cost $3000+. The builders will be taking the time to build the wall, so I can do the payments in installments.

You say that you're living in college apartments - Are u really gonna leave a $20,000+ system in the parking lot of a college area?? Unless I had 2 armed guards around it 24hrs a day, then there is no way in hell I'd even think of doing that.

If you're taking it to a shop and the owner doesn't currently or previously have a walled car go elsewhere.

Ask to see pics of walls they've built. Maybe even see if they can arrange for a customer to drop by so you can check out the build. If you're looking at spending $5K+ on install (which is what it will cost you!!!) then none of this should be a problem.

LOL I don't want to go THAT big. I will stick to 6 to 8 for now, and if I feel comfortable where I am then I will move up.

This was the big reason why I suggest Custom Edge Audio to the OP as a shop choice... If u hit up there website you can see that they've done G-Monk's Van(24 15s) and Lil John's van(18 15s) among many other wall builds. The two mentioned have done bassrace runs above 157+ and if both of them would have gotten each one fully dialed in, then there isn't a doubt in my mind they both could have seen 160+.

LOL man I figure if it is free why not, and if I have to pay it back I might as well do with it what I please, besides I may do a 2 year loan forgiveness program. Dam I'm smart. Schooling is paid for. I am pretty sure that if I left $5000 at a government office on accident and no one saw it,I would never get that back.

I decided to go with a flat box. Enough PM's and advice to know that 8 is too big to start with. So one more BTL and on to the next thing. This is the box I am going with. Didn't want to leave anyone hanging. So after this I will try to get this thread closed. Thanks John or 25k rims. lol

I'd charge 6500 for a box with 8 18's in that truck.

Plus amp installs, batt installs

sub install etc.

If you brought all equipment I'd say about 9k for install

I think my assembly methods are better than most I see.
