iTech
I have been running this way for years, virus protection uses up a ton of resources, and if you are smart with what you do you should have no problems. Just by having an Internet connection your being exposed. Do you at least have the "factory" firewall? Mikesmith0890
I have been running this way for years, virus protection uses up a ton of resources, and if you are smart with what you do you should have no problems. and i bet you have atleast 5 viruses that you don't know about. Unless ur using a mac. My mom is an IT manager and my father owns his computer repair/service company. there are so many things that antivirus does other than just block viruses. And if you ever use you're computer in a local wifi hotspot, they are known for their lack of protection. I even run antivirus software on my phone. Torres
I have been running this way for years, virus protection uses up a ton of resources, and if you are smart with what you do you should have no problems. i have enough resources to spare a few protection programs for added safety i used to have avg, and it worked fine but it got to a point where it would scan, and scan for HOURS! like almost a whole day. and i dont think made any progress. so i said ef it and deleted it. i'm gonna try vipre tho

dugee81
If you're going to pay, get Kaspersky or Nod32. I'm currently using Avira's free AV. Not bad I guess. Seems to be the same as AVG and Avast free. x2 Nod32 has been the best for me, low resources and catches everything. its the top dog imo Quote 200a alt. by Excessive Amperage hc800 under hood & 2 Deka 9a31 in rear 1/0awg + big 3 SAZ 3000D HDC3 18" @ 2 ohm
