If not its cool, Ill figure it out when I get under the car n peep out the other side naw, i didnt because it was sunset then so not light and my cameras flash sucks balllllz maybe tomorrow i can take a pic, its obvious tho when u get a light in the engine bay shinning down and u crawl under the dash

Jus wanna make sure I do shit right the 1st time dont be sorry, i searched all throughout cadillac forums to find all the answers to my questions including removing the dash, rear deck, location for ground, location for firewall hole.. and for wiring schematics check it out sometime, its pretty sweet that so many people have our old azz caddys

Well I was reading the AQ manual and it said somethin about it working well vertically. What do you think about mounting the amp to the metal behind the backseats? Id give it room to breath with nuts and bolts. Pry some rubber bushings to??? Rebuild in progress...

Pry some rubber bushings to??? upside down and vertical are different mounting the amp on the backseat will be just fine if u secure it well some seats just have cheap plastic, some metal so depends on ur seat i like mounting flat because then both sides of mosfets can disipate heat straight up... if u mount it on a back seat 1/2 the mosfets disipate some heat thru the entire amp and out the top heatsink.... which in my mind heats up the upper mosfets more than the lower... maybe im thinking to much about it tho... but i keep mine flat as much as possible to reduce heat its easier to travel thru 2" of metal than 9"
Decaf Posted March 11, 2010 Author Report Posted March 11, 2010 small update... tryin to keep the trunk from falling apart so i spent $20 on peel&seal and great stuff rear deck moves waay too much, this kinda helpes... need another layer 2 layers thick perfect amount of great stuff, just barely oozin out used the rest of the roll here, not easy when ur box is in the way, its too heavy for me to move by myself try to take a vid while it was drying and i had the trunk open but the car next to me had a sensitive alarm on i guess song is "Eldorado Redd - Flexed Up (30hz)" might buy another can and roll, but thats about it

That rear deck doesnt look to bad with the light off of it tho. I might have to take mine off and get rid of that storage compartment back there to. But I dont wanna leave it bare metal. And Im not skilld enough to make a decent looking beauty panel so idk, But I do need more air in my cabin somehow! Rebuild in progress...

And Im not skilld enough to make a decent looking beauty panel so idk, But I do need more air in my cabin somehow! yeah the $14 worked great, as usual second skin is way better but i just needed something to help that was cheap the great stuff helpd alot too it looks nice without the rear light personally... i did it moreso because it was bouncin my major problem is gonna be the trunk latch, its mounted to a bracket thats mounted to sheet metal, no bracing... so needless to say i need to do some reinforcing otherwise the trunk latch is gonna break, this car was not meant for bass at all!!! so i took my amp and sub out... im building an amp rack thats connected to a big board that the box will sit on so it doesnt move around in my trunk, ill get pics on a few... i can also easily add a battery now too and just add a little piece of wood next to the amp hopefully switching things up will get me to buying a new/another batt, i need one really bad
Decaf Posted March 16, 2010 Author Report Posted March 16, 2010 new amp board and sub floor (1/3 of it at least) lots of left extra wire for the next install whenever that is straight down thru the hole in rear deck looking to left down thru the hole i made in the rear deck to the right thru the hole gain setting u can see is at ~1/4 and it slams, ssf @20, lfp all the way up (i used -18@100 on headunit), no boost super chitty trunk lid pull down motor thats duct taped and foamed and welded because it kept breakin... thats mostly why i added deadner and great stuff instead of turning it down once the box is back in ill really load that motor up with duct tape since the power has been disconnected i just need it to be more stable w/o welding something new
