Yeah these subs are great. They're a little old school but they will take a beating.

My amp is the problem. It says it's 2 ohm stable but I know it's a cheap brand so I'm a little hesitant to drop it down to 2 ohms. I've heard a lot of people say not to go to 2 ohms with cheap equipment even though it says it's stable because it will shorten the life.

I'm planning on doing the big three, replacing the head unit, adding (2) 6 1/2 speakers and (2) bottle caps in the front and the same for the back seats.

I'm interested in building a new box as well but I don't know a damn thing about them. How much would you say it costs to build what my subs are rated for?

edit: I'm a little drunk here and can't type for shit. :drunk:

skip the caps and go for a battery.... try the amp at 2ohms and see how it does... if it fries buy another cheap amp.....

there are some guys on here that for like 10$ some do it free i think who will design you a box and give you a cut sheet... all you would need to buy is some glue and screws and a sheet of 3/4" MDF.... the mdf is about 30$ a sheet at home depot and lowes... glue and screws are cheap....
