Hey everybody, firstly I'll introduce myself and what I want to do. My name is Curtis, I am 20 years old, 21 on December 24th. I started doing some small time system installs about 3 years ago and have been loving it ever since. I'm working on getting my MECP certification as we speak. I used to work at Circuit City installing stereos and making custom boxes. Some of you may be saying, "Circuit City installer? What a Joke!", but we were the only place that did installs before a custom shop opened here and we did quite a bit of custom work. My shop manager was a certified MECP Master Technician. Anyways, sorry for the rant, now onto my ride.

My previous ride was a 1992 Ford Ranger, and this thing was tiny. I ended up fitting 3 Kicker 10" L7's behind the seats, although the box was pretty small. I had some Polk db Series speakers for my mids and highs. I was running some kicker amps as well, forget what series they were though. I was using a Sony deck as well. It was a pretty nice setup considering I got everything for free from Circuit City, they payed for it so we could take it to shows and show our work off. Then a year later, they go bankrupt. Sold the truck for $5,000.

My newest ride, is a 2007 Dodge Ram Regular cab I bought back in February. This is where some input from anybody here would be greatly appreciated. I have some ideas for things I want to do to it, but having some other ideas would be amazing. I do want to use as much Rockford equipment as I can, I am currently in talks with PR from Rockford about possibly getting an endorsement or sponsorship after its all done and I start taking it to shows and such. The ideas I had for it was to build a custom box that would take up the middle seat, its a 40/20/40 bench configuration, and build a bandpass box with a single 15" or 18" in it. Then behind the seats have two more 12"s or 15"s in a ported box, not sure what will fit best yet. I plan on getting the whole interior, including the dash, rapped in black leather with red stitching. The truck is red as well. I plan on getting some 22" Boss 335 Wheels and installing a 4/6 drop.

Anyways, let me know what you guys think and if theres anything better I could do with it.

Do not mix and match different sized woofers... How are you gonna be able to fit a single 15 or 18 in the middle of the 2 seats?? On top of that you wanna do a bandpass which will take up even more room.

My suggestion is that if you want a big system in a regular cab, then do a blowthrough if you're comfortable doing so.

I was thinking of doing a blowthrough, but I've never done one. I was thinking of scrapping the whole bandpass thing and just make one box that will look like a t-shape when im done so it will have a part for a middle sub and the 2 back ones.

There is a few blow through installs with lots of pics in the build log threads that may give you some ideas.

When I get home from work I'll upload some pics of the T_box I just finished if it'll help.

Blowthrough isn't that difficult to do especially seeing that you do have a decent little background in building and installing. Plus there are a few on here that have done them that I'm sure would be more than willing to help u out with it, including myself.
