Scion XD Amp/doors (subs are dead)

Recommended Posts

So, my subs (8 years old) I think are dead. As long as I keep the bass low, it is ok, as soon as I start to crank it, they sound blown. But aside from that, the rest sounds beautiful. I know it is itty-bitty compared to other systems here and since all I did was put door speakers and one amp in, I didn't take any build pictures except for one. But I will show the finished (minus subs) product here.

Dash? What dash? All this to get the power wire from the battery.

2 8" JLs. They are very old so I didn't build a (new) box for them, they are still in the box they were in when I had them in my old S-10. I can take some pics of the subs I guess but it really isn't worth seeing. I guess I have to figure out what I want to put in for subs now.

Damn...I had some like-new Kicker CVR8s but I sold those off a while ago. If you wanna stick with 8s, there's a surprisingly high number of choices...

I have no real reason to stick with 8s, I got a great deal on them when I bought them.

edit: and on a side note, the RF power series amps SOUND OMG GOOD, I am just blown away by them.

Oh ok, just didn't know if you wanted to save space and all that. That's the only reason I had my 8s...it would be cool to see a big Scion build on here.
