ok when i play my music my voltage never drops below 12 volts (have the big 3 done, HO alternator and 2 batteries (kinetik 2000 and 2400).

just got new subs in (fi bl) and played it lower than i usually do with my alpine type x's.

so basically with the type x's the amp only shut off sometimes (when i play the volume on 25) but voltage would never be below 12 once again. i played the volume on 23 with the bl's and it did it today.

when this happens 2 things either happen the amp shuts off and i restart my head unit and it plays like normal or the fuses blow and i have to replace them.

i have the same amps on the subs (alpine pdx 1.1000) and only one run of 0 gauge going to the back and through a distro block (4 ways 1 amp for each sub, 1 amp for highs, and a battery)

what do you think is the cause of the amp shutting off?

Fried outputs on your amp or too little fuzes.

Make sure the ohm load you have the subs wired it can be handled by the amplifier (like Cr@sh said pretty much). Also check all of your connections and make sure they are snug fit. Also check out the fuse rating on the amp, and make sure you are using the correct fuse size for the amp (like Bigballa39213 said). That's the easiest stuff that you can do to check, if all of those are good, might wanna take the amp apart and look at the guts and see if there is anything visibly wrong with it.
