asenovjudo Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 Hi my name is Ivo and I'm from Denver Colorado,I have questions about installing new audio system in my stock 07 quad cab dodge Ram 1500.Currently I have Two 12'' Rockfor Fosgates P2 212 with MA Audio amp (400WATTS) and a pioneer head unit stereo. I'm looking to upgrade with two Pioneer Premier TS-W8102SPL and two Pioneer Premier PRS-D2000SPL, at this point I have one 0 gauge wiring amp kit and a vented box for two 15'' subs designed for the qb liters they need. The questions are what else do I need to upgrade the power on my truck? As far as better battery or I know I need capacitor ,do I really need high performance alternator ....what else..(brands and sizes needed).need an answer asap so I can order please. Thank you .

Upgrading the Big 3 under the hood would be a good start. With only 400 watts it shouldn't put that much of a strain on your electrical. Marlo Stanfield Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 I'd strongly suggest running different amps that then the D2000SPLs on those woofers... I've seen them right at home at around 3k daily. If you were to run that sort of power then you'd have to have 3 or more Group 31 batts, H/O alt, dual 1/0 power/ground runs per amp, etc.. Running a "big" system is quite expensive when it's done the right way, which as far as I'm concerned is the only way. 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... New setup, old ride...
