Here are some T/S from the 15" D1 that I built for myself with 3 Hard spiders (stock stiffness):

RE: 2.09 ohms (D1 series)

Fs: 32.16 Hz

Qes: 0.48

Qms: 12.04

Qts: 0.46

Le: 2.86 mH

Vas: 47.05 L

BL: 20.07 NA

Cms: 53.44 uM/N

Mms: 457 g

The above with a very short break-in period...

After numerous 10,000 watt burps :

RE: 1.98 ohms (D1 series)

Fs: 31.78 Hz

Qes: 0.448

Qms: 12.20

Qts: 0.432

Le: 2.80 mH

Vas: 50.64 L

BL: 19.59 NA

Cms: 57.52 uM/N

Mms: 435 g

Spider seems quite stable in compliance after a tremendous beating -- of course we knew that from the v.1 Nightshade :)

I am going to initiate my posting on this forum by starting here.

That v2 prototype looks sicknasty!!! I have been shifting my thought processes now for about six months trying to decide which sub/s to get for my new system. I've cycled between Digital Designs, Incriminator Audio, FI, RD Audio, Ascendant Audio, and of course, Sundown Audio. Well, now my indecisiveness can rest; I'm sold on the NS v2.

I'm actually glad that these subs won't be available for a few months because I have training to go to for the Air Force. After training though, I hoping to get some bass-crushing madness going on. I had settled on the SAZ-4500 months ago but I couldn't figure out which sub/s to match with it. Now I know :)

Holy shit! I just looked up your contact info and you guys have a home location in Morrisville, NC? Nice, I reside in Wake Forest, NC...we're in the same county for crying out loud. What a small world.

Good stuff, this thread just made my night.
