I will be at the 3X event in High Point, NC on Sunday. Looking to set a new record in the car 3601-up and car hardcore classes. I have yet to get anymore power in the vehicle so I'm only running about 6K in a class where you can have as much power as you can make off of 3 batteries. I'm waiting on a pair of Sundown 3500's and then the season will be underway.

Nick, what was your clamped power for the Truck/Suv class? That is a very strong score and I'm just curious how close you were to the 3600 watts allowed. On another note I would have figured that your pair of Rockford 2500's would have put out more than 3600 watts cause I do with my Sundown 2000's and even did at times when I was running a pair of Sundown 1500's. Congrats and bring your ass down here for the show on Sunday!!!!!

i think he put me in the wrong class...i told him 3601+ or he has it mis-labeled

^^^Well it looks like you've got a bit of rise to combat then, which can be a pain in the ass. I bet that you were up to 3 ohms or better since you made around 2K out of each amp. Just think if you can get your reactive load down to 1 ohm or so and your power will increase by quite a bit. I know that those amps can make close to 3K if the impedence is kept down. Can you strap them? That may help to keep it down some since they are ment to make power at 1 ohm you could run them strapped at 1 ohm and after rise you should be fine. That's what I've got to do with my 2000d's to make any real power out of them. I run them strapped at .5 ohms to have each amp see .25 and roll the volume up on a burp. That is why they will make close to 6K on a pair because I have a low reactive and have them dropped down so low. At NSPL finals I had issues with them going into protect and didn't get to give it everything I had.

If you have any questions about NSPL or anything let me know cause I'd be glad to help you guys out. How many of the TDH people were at the show? You guys in the Maryland area are important to us this year in NSPL. You are vital to our growth and continuing success. I hope you guys help make this the best year in NSPL ever!!!!

How can we get Membership Applications?

Either through Fred Wright Jr, who is the founder of NSPL or I know last year there were memberships sold at all the shows. Greg Zoller did shows in Ohio last year and he was able to sell memberships at his shows so I would ask whoever is running the NSPL shows where you guys are at and if they don't already have the stuff for the memberships all they need to do is talk to Fred and I'm sure he will get them whatever is necessary for everyone.

I need to renew my membership for the new season. It only costs $20 so it's not as bad as what Db Drag is. It also helps you save money at all the shows. Members usually get $5-10 off of their entry fee depending on what point value the show is. For example if you have a membership and it's a single point event I'd expect to get $5 off of the entry fee. I've seen Fred give as much as $15 off at a 3X event when I didn't have enough cash to run multiple classes. Unlike other organizations Fred cares about his members/competitors and will do whatever it takes to keep us happy and the organization growing.

I'm really excited to see you guys showing interest in NSPL this year. It will be fun to compete against and meet you guys in 2010. We are currently looking for some new team members to join Team High X-Cursion too, so if your intersted let me know and I'll talk to the team captains and see if anyone that is interested would be a good fit for us. We are based in NC, but do have one of our team members in NY. You guys know him as Thorshammer and we are looking foward for him to make his NSPL debut this year.

It would depend on how many batteries you had and how many runs of power wire you had. If you only had 2 extra batts and 2 runs of wire with 2K watts you would be in car1801-3600 watts. You can go above the window line as long as your 12" away from the roof of the car. A no wall setup in the car class only has to be 12" away to be considered not a wall. Also it has to be a 12 volt system to run in the car class. Another thing is that you can't work at a shop either and be in this class or have close family that works at a shop either. NSPL considers that to be a pro and you will have to run in no wall.

Edit: If you could get your power down to 1800 watts off 1 batt and 1 run of wire you could run in the 0-1800 watt car class.
