HHR Ed
the 81000d i think was the thunder 8000 series 1000w ampn i missed the old mtx 1501d's, i want one for my mtx 8000's but cant seem to find any, a guy was sellin one on here a yr back i think for $220 but i didn't kno if it was a good deal or not but those 1501d's are a beast and was the 81000d's strapable? The 81000D was the first gen, and then they changed the heatsink, and suppression circuit and called it the 1501D. I ran 8 of each and they did the same power. 2200w on my setup. Awesome amp but brand new I was paying $180 ea team price so anything over that 7 years later is too much. Marlo Stanfield
Out of all the woofers I've owned, tested, or installed over the past 9 years (75 or more different woofers) these were the single worst sounding subs I've ever heard. I got a single 15 for dirt cheap local and tried it out in multiple enclosures and it was horrible in all of them. But as far as a burp sub, these things are pretty damn good and can handle sum pretty big power too. If you're planning on running it in anything that isn't a burp box, then I'd suggest you pass on it. I'd also like to see you ask the CL poster to see a receipt proving he paid a grand for it too.
