Ok, so what should I get??

Recommended Posts

yup im paying attention to wattage...my ssd sounded better on 400 watts then my l5 on any wattage

and for 200 bucks i feel its by far the best put together speaker of the 3 he mentioned.

im just a fan of getting the best speaker for the money and IMO the SSD is a far better speaker even at given wattage then both the other options.

is anyone payin attention to the 600w rms from an alpine...?

who cares what ssds do on 1000w... it comes down to whats the best soundin and most efficient use of 600w rms max

it's still good to let him know though. The SSDs sound great on 600 or 1K. It gives him room to grow also if he plans to upgrade. But once again the Fi gets my vote

You guys im going for total dB... and I don't appeciate being called a newbie, sure im not running two 3500 sunddowns and two 18" FBL's or something... but I used to own 13.5" W7's when I wasn't broke... I'm broke now so im going for best bang for buck, I heard the CVR's will be louder for NOW but i'd be barely running the RMS per sub so its sort of a waste when it ruins my whole upgrade ability to two 15's in the future that will hit harder.

If the L5 will be louder with less SQ then thats my sub if the Fi is equally loud with better SQ obviously thats my choice, you guys tell me.

the Fi is better all around then the l5

OK, by now I think im going with the SSD... I mean for $200 new you can't really beat it, which adds my question.. If the Fi is better than the L5 in every way including SPL than why the hell is the L5 like $300-400 depending where you buy it and what side... $200 just seems extremely cheap for a decent 15"

Also if I had two 15" SSD Fi and a 1600RMS amplifier how loud will my car be?? Another question will that vent IDEA work if I put a 15" round port between my rear speaker deck as opposed to buy a fold down seat for $100 which I really don't want to do...

nobody can tell you how loud it will be

as far as price is conserned Fi is an internet based company that you are buying from direct kicker is a mainstream company with a dealer network therefore price increases for all the middle men involved

Now that I think of 12" CVR's would actually be a downgrade from my 15" comps so I'm not going that route... I think I'm going with the Fi SSD I really like the AQ audio subwoofers the deal on them is awesome @ only $140 for a 15" but TBH I'm looking for more RMS than 600 on a single sub for future proofing.. I can't run more than 1,500W to my CAR without my new altenator going most likly... So 1500-1600 is my peak RMS range so the Fi's would be perfect it seems.

I know nobody can tell me how loud it will be, but theres a consistancy with more subwoofer comparisions... will a single Fi SSD be louder or sound louder than two comps etc... that the type of comparision im looking for. on average with full RMS how does a single SSD perform in SPL what dB do they obtain? also one thing I never got about subwoofers... sensitivity dB is that the dB they put out?? how would you measure that if you had two subwoofers?
