How does an amp distribute power

If an amp does 2000w x 1 @ 1 ohm and you have two speakers connected to it does it send 1000w to each sub or each voice coil

Im about to take a nap right now...yes in the morning lol...

but here is a good read on your question, since it would take me a while to type the answer. But we dont know what the wiring config is on your subs, so we dont know how much power yet that each sub/coil will see.

i have the hifonics bxi2006d, i have also wondered why would someone put two amps on two subs when u can get one amp that will push both subs

cause most of the time two small amps might be cheaper than one bigger amp. or you just work with what you have

I love car audio so much because I will never be done. I can never win, and I will never get it finished or perfect. It always has me coming back for more, I can never get my fill of it, but I get what I need.
