so i just got my other Hdc3 and i was just reading to make sure before i build my box what to tune it to? i have a design that i made where its tuned to 32.69hz but i heard that its not good to tune hdc3 that low. i read on hear that you want to tune them in the 34-38 range. is this true? and this box will be a daily music player

what size sub and what size box are you going to put it in

its 2 twelves the box is 5.845 cu.ft its 4.89 cu.ft after sub and port displacement tuned to 32.69hz i kno my tunning is gonna go up a bit cause those numbers dont include my internal bracing and resined 45s

id say 34-38 would be the best

shorten the port a little and give the subs the extra volume

bracing and 45s will only raise it ~1-2hz at most

I wouldnt tuned them lower tham 35,i had my 15 tuned @34 with a 4 cube box and the sub would make noise,like it was bottoming out,so i build a 3.3 cubebox tuned at 38hertz and it get way louder and no more noises from sub
