ALTERNATOR 2002 TAHOE

My mom has a 2002 tahoe and shes claiming that the battery light has come on three times in the past two days. She then proceded to take it to a Shell station and they told her it is her alternator or a part in the alternator. I dont know much about alternators but I plan on getting some futher input from a freind who owns a mechanic shop but regardless does anyone have a brand name or model they recomend lookking into?

Dc Power alts, and GM vehicles, go together like peas and carrots

Chevy vehicles and Mechman Alternators go together like Peanut butter and Jam. They happen to be sweet....... :-)

If theres no system in it go to ur local pep boys, o'rielys, advanced autoparts, napa, or autozone and get a regular old alternator whats the point of getting something fancy for something that only needs a regular old alt. Upsides they have it right there (no waiting on a shipment) u get ur core charge back and u have a working vehicle in a matter of an hour.
