Can someone help me on how big to make my port or if I should just move it to the top of the box or what? Im pretty sure its tuned WAY too high right now. This is my first ported box attempt...(Yes i got a router and a router jigg after this box!) Its for a 12" RD Alpha Max port is currently going all way from top of box to bottom.. Sampsonite Posted December 16, 2009 Report Share Posted December 16, 2009 Your port ratio seems pretty high. Next time, try to keep within a 8:1 port ratio. The most effecient port will have the smallest perameter, and largest port area possible.
