18" vs 2 15"s vs 2 12"s

I am thinking of changing my system. I currently have a 18" Kicker Solo X in about 5.5 cubes at 35 hrtz running off a Memphis Mojo 4000wrms amp.

I am considering changing to either

two 15"s DC lvl 4xl (or HDC3 copper)

or two 12" DC lvl 5 or maybe 10"s

I am working out of the trunk of my car and i will NOT wall it. I know cone area plays a part, but better box design is just as important if not more important. I can make a box about 7.9 cubes. I might be able to get a couple more inches. Right now my 18" sounds good, but there is always room for improvement. Its just a daily set up, but if i can get louder, then i might do some local comps next summer. I can make some hair move with my 18". but if i can get a real hair trick that would be outstanding.

Can the HDC3 Copper coils handle 2000wrms daily on music? Is there anyone out there that can pull off even a small hair trick out of a trunk with 12"s?

my trunk gets some hair moving... i wouldn't call it an offical hair trick but i do a 146.8 out of the trunk on 2 12s and 2000 watts

I never understood how you wire 3 DVC subs to a usable ohm load. My amp runs at 1 ohm.

I dont think i would have the money for 3 subs
