XS Power

Recommended Posts

Wondering what battery would be best for me... i have stock alternator, 1/0 kicker wire, optima redtop for starting, its pushing 1 15 aq hdc3 with a hifonics brutus 2000d mono

????

Is that a optima 34/78 red top?

If so the S3400 would be the direct replacement for that and will give you a ton more power. How many total watts do you think you are running?

With the same alt, a new bettery (more powerful) will give better voltage readings?

The alt will produce the same current, will it be able to charge the new battery correctly ? If it can, that means that I can start saving for a new (XS) batt to improve my system !!!

Let me know Nathan, please !

Sorry for the "thread hijack" !

If you add more power to the supply, then you are going to get better results. The alternator will charge the battery fine, of course an upgraded HO alternator will charge it back faster.

Like was said in the thread you started before YES a new battery will improve your system.

Its just like in a race car.............. you are going to get better performance running 110 octane in it than you are 87 octane!

is was gonna keep the red top up front and just run another in the trunk... didnt know i could just run a battery up front and it would work... but my hifonics is an overrated 2000 prolly does around 1500 if not less but i will be getting an AQ 2200 soon

Thanks for your quick answer.

My next step will be a new battery, and the only choices I have in my country are XS or maybe Optima!
