Spider ripped.........

Recommended Posts

you know how to recone a sub, but don't know what CA glue is

AQ does not randomly add spiders to a sub when reconing them, they have a standard spider pack for the copper coils (8 layer) and one for the alum (6 layer). Of course you can custom order diff spider packs.

Does your box have loading issues? Meaning does one sub have more excursion then the other?

Torn spider usually means over excursion. You don't have a lot of power, so I'm guessing you're playing a lot of C&S crap. Tune your box to 35Hz if you gotta play that stuff...

My buddy got the HDC3 18 and it says on the paper to break it in slowly. It also goes on to say in could take MONTHS for it to break in not just the oh 10-20hrs of time that it already does recommend to let it break in. so it could be that the sub wasnt broke in properly and thats why ur ripping shit.

x2 this. if you want straight on a new recone, itll tear most of the time. especially with AQ. they even have a piece of paper right when you open the box with a warning ETC.
