Mosin
A lot of woofers that I have seen get the wall socket have at least stayed intact after getting the socket. Whats the deal with this JL W7? Do they really separate that easily from a wall socket? Or even from pushing over the rated watts to them? Or am I just lost right now? name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> Quote Derp. JSwongerAA
Simple reason it looked so devastating-they didn't put all the pieces back on it before they hooked it up.
Mosin
I see.... Looked cool nonetheless. But little rings hold the cone in place? Are they plastic or metal? Quote Derp.

JSwongerAA
I see.... Looked cool nonetheless. But little rings hold the cone in place? Are they plastic or metal? There's 2 rings that hold the surround in place. The first one is steel and is placed on the surround over the mounting holes, and the second one is aluminum and gets pressure fit around the outside of the basket and it clamps the other steel ring down to the basket assembly. JL has a Tutorial on their website for a more detailed explanation. Edited December 28, 2009 by JSwongerAA
