Has anyone experienced what way you have your subs faced? Like towards the back of your trunk or towards you? If its louder or sounds better, that kind of thing. Let me know your input on this!

Thanks

direction matters a great amount. The best thing to do is to experiment yourself to see what you like.

But I can tell you that having the woofers fire back or up in a hatch or SUV usually yields the best results.

i had a car with two 12s in a sealed box that was WAY louder facing the trunk... my old 4runner, i had my 15s with the subs and port facing the rear... and in my sequoia, i have my subs firing up and the port back.... it all depends on the vehicle and subs, and box and everything.......

sub back port back worked great in my car

sub up port up was a noticable db decrease, although it had a flatter sound

sub up port forward was a much weirder response, but when it found a freq it liked it pounded.

sub forward port up semi-wall was rediculous, but how could it not be?

sub back port to the side was comparable to sub/port back but more keen on having a resonant note and falling off on either side

sub up port forward t-line sucked, wasnt loading off of anything probably.

i think thats all the combos i tried...and tbh car to car its going to be different, start trying shit. sub back port up here i come.

Sub back in my trunk car sounds like shit so I have it sub and port forward and soon sealed off like Thorshammer did with his trunk.

Usually subs back in a trunk car is louder and/or sounds better but not for me. Sounds like severe rattling and distorted ass when pointed towards the trunk.

It is one DC Level 4 12" in 2.0 cubes @ 32hz on a DD M1A Amp at 1200rms ish in a 98 Neon Coupe.
