Percy Posted January 6, 2010 Author Report Posted January 6, 2010 if not, how do i calculate where to bend the port at or whatever
Decaf Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 facepalm u need at least the ports width in clearance... so the end of ur port wall needs to be at least 4.25" from anything so u would bend the port im going to bed, someone pick up where i left off the port would go 21.25 back, then turn
Decaf Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 wow no one else is helping, lol so percy do u understand what im saying put in 21.25 for ur port length, that is as long as it can be without turning like in the pic i did

Decaf Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 dont be using my enclosure plans as an example! jkjk lol, i hunted for a pic without dimensions that give away the box, it was hard! good eye
Percy Posted January 6, 2010 Author Report Posted January 6, 2010 ya i get it decaf, i appreciate the help, since the original port opening is 4.25 inches, then i need at least 4.25 inches for the opening inside? so theres no cancellation or whatever its called? so if i make the port length 21.25 and make an L of at least 4.25??
Decaf Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 when u put port length into that box calculator is means the total port length, not the length for the piece of wood u should do 20*32*27 external 6.76cuft@34hz 5" wide port... total port length is 23" (actual wood would be 20.5) 13.67sqin/cuft much better, u need more port anyways no L needed use dowel rods for bracing top to bottom, side to port wall and front to back
