Is't it illegal for a business owner to open another business of the same nature with a different name, just to create compittition...? I would suggest that you open a new shop and relate it to your current one... If both shops do the same thing, and he's doing this just to create a compitition to make more money, the BBB will get involved quick, and then so will the federal government...

Yes sir it is. Im studying to get my MBA now, and hoping I can open a shop eventually after I open a drafting firm. Believe it or not, alot of people do this, and you can be fined a hefty penny and federal time. I would advise him not too.

The company i work fos is doing same type of business as our corporate office.

Just different DBA.. does that seem legit or not??

well guys, im not sure if hes gonna even do it... but he was just thinking out loud one day.... if it did happen the shops would be in now way connected except the owner..... i really didnt know if that was illegal or not.... but if it is, ill tell him its a bad idea.....
