Kinda in a bad situation

So right now i have 2 kicker cvx d4's, each wired to 2 ohms to a shitty, but suprisingly loud, power acoustik amp.......so this amp says it is 2 ohm stable to each channel and only stable to 4 ohms bridged.......my plan is to get 2 more of these subs but the only way i would be able to run them is at 4 ohms each channel or 8 ohms bridged.......what i was thinking is will i have enough ohm gain to run them all bridged at 2 ohms and still have the amp stable?.....im kinda at a standstill and about to just say fuck it and buy another of the same amp and just have it all be the same, just double the power and cone area.......any input is appreciated

Just a question whats the RMS on the amp and what price range is it in? honestly if you're running a 2 channel amp on 4 subs thats not idealistic. I would just opt for a Hifonics amp they are cheap in the $200 range new... If you're amp cannot do 2 OHM impedance than I really recommend a new one if you want to see any power into those subwoofers, I also don't recommend bridging PA amps since my friend did on his gothic series and it blew it off of a single L7 subwoofer.Also that's the RMS on yOUR CVX's? are they 12's or 15's? or 10's? yes it's $350 but for a "true" 1700RMS @ 2 OHM it will blast those two subwoofers, if you upgrade to 4 you're going to need another one and new electrical (red top / alt / deep cycle / 0/1 gauge / big III)

I'm not sure if this is your amp but I'm looking at the PA OV2-2600 Gothic Series 2 channel and it says it's 2 ohm stable running 540WATTS x2 @ 2 ohm. Honestly though if you're going to run 2 more subwoofers you might want to focus on powering the two you have right now, since 540RMS per subwoofer is way underpowering those CVX's.

I'd say if you get the hifonics I listed uptop you'll be getting almost RMS potential from those subwoofers and you wont even need to upgrade to 4 subs with the different you'll notice.

when you say "run them all bridged" are you talking about the 4 speakers or the channels of the PA amplifier?

if you wire it up correctly to a 2 ohm load for one channel the amplifier will be fine, but dont expect to be doing any hairtricks anytime soon.

if it says 2 ohm stable non-bridged, then dont bridge the channels running a 2 ohm load.

also, are you running a 2 channel on 4 subs? if it were me i would just upgrade to a monoblock.

i meant that i would be running all 4 subs to the bridged output of the amp, which makes no sense really since i believe that the amp is basically just 4 ohm stable and is split up inside.......really i think that i need to sell all this stuff and start fresh...... just a bad amp and decent subs

so i got rid of that idea and am now posed with another dilemma......i can get 2 used kicker l7 15's off my buddy for 350, or i thought i can get 2 new fi ssd 15's for right around 400. Im pretty set on the Hiforics BXi 2010D which says is rated at 2k rms. Im not expecting this new setup to be a ton louder than my previous setup but i was wondering what that amp actually puts out
