CLNFREAK
i have heard both, off and on is ok give them a good coat of wax before winter, you will prob be ok. I live in PA where they use a million pounds of salt for a dusting of snow so I would take them off.
blackrosetiger
Take them off its better to sport 14" rims in the winter then sport rusted ass rim in the summer. 79 cutty
Take them off its better to sport 14" rims in the winter then sport rusted ass rim in the summer. Better safe then sorry Co-signed. In MN they coat everything with salt big time....so they come off yearly! I even give the rims a coating of WD-40 for while they sit during the winter to ensure no issues. You pay enough for the rims/tires to just let them go to crap over the winter. IMO Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking! You can't rush quality, it doesn't happen overnight. Quality takes time and dedication, but the end results more than pay for it. Not to mention a lot of the low pro tires (I am assuming you have) don't get the best traction in snow and such...so for safety reasons I have always taken mine off Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking! emmertb
I say take them off till spring, if you never needed to do it then you wont have lost anything. But if you leave them on and somethin happens you'd be pissed. emmertb
I seen an infomercial on the speed channel one day about Eagle One. They had a rim cleaner that seemed to work amazingly. They did a little test by cleaner two of the rims on one side of a Wrangler then left the other side without. Went through mad mud and the side they cleaned didnt have a drop of mud or dirt on it. I believe this is the stuff but not 100% sure. www.eagleone.com/pages/products/product.asp?itemid=1003 1992 Cadillac SeVille STS Pioneer DEH-P7600MD Pioneer Premier Surround JL Audio 10W7 Ported Kenwood KAC-7203 Kicker ZX350x4 My YouTube
