6 - Fi Qs

Recommended Posts

What do you guys think? 6 - 12' Fi Qs on a Rockford Fosgate T40001bd amp, ported at 2.5 cubic feet. Will this amp work with what I have in mind? I am also putting my Rockford T8004 on my 8 sets of Boston Pro60s. And my T300-2 with my 2 sets of image dynamics horns. What ya'll think? I figure with the Xmax being really good and the box being ported each sub should get around 750-800 watts, when it measures at 1000 rms.

what coils are you giong to get?

D1 OR d2?

hows your electrical like?

That's why they don't deliver.

Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait.

You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start :D

I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.

I believe he means 2.5 each, not total.

formerly known as Blue86f150

its a 4th order just because its tuned in the 40z doesnt mean it wont reach down and jiggle your balls at sub 30 hz frequencies.

Regardless if they were dipped platinum and were stuffed in Beyonce's twat.....way too fucking exspensive

parallel i would believe. I have 4 sets of pro60s - 8 speakers on one amp right now at 2 ohm and it sounds great. i talked to the tech at RF and they said i could wire more sets up to the 8004. run two sets parallel on one channel. 1 ohm output. maybe that will make sense. but thats why i asked what people think. cuz i need suggestions.

ok that makes more sense for the highs, but still 6 woofers on 1 amp? duel 1's or 2's?

IMO I would just go with either 2 BTLS or even 4 BL's. Going with 6 Q's, in my eyes, is just creating too much work for yourself. Again, just my opinion.
