Bad Alt Possibly?

Ok guy's heres the deal. I have some odd problems, first if I turn on my lights (lows) I can hear and feel a drain on my car, or if I turn my heat up/on (the fans), and last but not least! turn my system up a little bit, probably around 1/2 way. Now keep in mind these are all by them selves not all at the same time. Also keep in mind I'm only running roughly 700wrms.

So IDK what it is because my alt is charging my battery and it's at a perfect 14.7 volts I did my big 3 in all 1/0. Do you guy's think a second batt may help if it's not the alt?

the alt may have little output, just cause it shows 14v doesn't mean it is doing 100+ amps. Load test the battery too, it may be going out on you.

Second battery only adds more load to the alternator. You would need to upgrade your alternator before adding a second battery. Yes the battery would help... But it would put more stress on your alt

You don't have enough amplifier power to need a second battery. Maybe put a good Power Master or Kinetik battery under the hood and call it a day. Older Accords have very little output at idle from the alt, maybe look into a direct fit alt that has a little more power. I would be surprised if you have anything more than an 80 amp alt on there from the factory. Maybe a smaller pulley on the alt if you don't want to change it so you get more idle amps. You can get a MLA or research on the web to find out how to up your voltage closer to 15 volts, some alts need a resistor inline to make it put out higher voltages.

There is a lot you can do before you start adding batteries because that is just going to put a bandaid on the real problem.

Take to a auto zone and let them bench test your alternator and battery. They will let you know if you charging system's working properly.
