I got some questions about my new setup!

Recommended Posts

First off with what I currently have: I have 2 12 inch VC2's rated at 500 watts RMS with a Diamond Audio 600.1 pushing them. I am gonna be getting two more subs of the same and need a second amp to push them. The subs are 4 ohm DVC, so all 4 together will only wire down to 2 ohms. Namosh is gonna build the box for me and its gonna have all 4 subs facing up in a common enclosure with one port. I have been looking at sonicelectronics.com and they have a RF Punch BD1000 on there for $400. So then what I would do is put the 600 watt amp on the two subs on the left and the 1000 watt amp on the two subs on the right.

My questions are: Will it sound off when 2 subs are getting 600 watts and the other 2 are getting 1000? Should I just find a new amp that pushes between 1500-2000 watts at 2 ohms and put all 4 subs on it? Does anyone have a similar setup and if so how does it sound?

Either get a single amp for all 4 or get the same amp for the new pair of woofers... Don't mix + match different size amps for the same sub stage.

I think it would be best to just run one amp. Then you don't have to get any more wire(unless you need a bigger gauge) and you don't have to match gains so life will be easy with one amp

It sounds like I need to look for a bigger amp for all four subs. I have been looking alot today and found this,

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_17599_...+BXi+2610D.html Sounds like a good amp for my subs. If anyone else has the same amp or has had one I would appreciate a review on it.
