okay but having a thicker between the alt and the bat+, wouldnt it drain the crap out of my alt?

no. it just lessens the resistance. letting your alt charge everything more efficiently. stock car wire is like 6-4 gauge and wasnt designed in mind for stereos. adding 0 gauge for the big 3, while leaving the factory wires in place, lessens the resistance and allows your car to handle the bigger load of an amplifier.

edit: oh, and your alt wont output 100% power all the time. it will only output as much as your car needs. lets say on idle your car uses 40amps. then your alt will output 40 amps and if you play the stereo, the added demand will make your alt output 100amps.

your alt makes power, not stores it, and the short answer is no...

never did it seeing as how i dont get voltage drop anyways (only on idle but thats a different story)

and it would be a good idea to fuse between the alt to bat+ rihght?
