You would need to make an adapter or find an adapter to fit a Mercury. So it will still work for daily, just not the best for daily. Or PowerMaster has no idea what they are talking about and they made it very clear online and in their catalog that these alternators are "FOR COMPETITION USE ONLY! NOT FOR STREET USE!"
