1985 Buick Regal Limited Build Log

Recommended Posts

Let the progress commense! Lol.

So was able to make some really good progress this weekend.

Was able to get the bushings pressed in on the other upper a arm and finish mocking up the drivers side suspension. From there it was on to mocking up the steering linkage:

Once the steering linkage was all mocked up it was onto rebuilding the gear box and all that fun! Was able to get all the O-rings in place and everything set to go back into the housing:

Another modification I am working on to make the Regal more reliable. FedEx said it should be here tomorrow.

It's an intermediate steering shaft from a 94 Jeep Cherokee. Going to confirm it works and then break it down and ship it to the chrome shop for the chrome treatment.

Sometimes it is the small things right? So here is progress:

Picked up some energy suspension tie rod dust boots for the front suspension. Doesn't seem like a whole lot, but that officially was the "piece of the puzzle" for the front and back suspension. I officially can cross all suspension parts, chroming, and assembly off the list! :)

Lol, easy to forget because it's still far from a car! Thanks though man, much appreciated. It's nice to see some tangible progress, bur would be nicer if it was final assembly.

A little front shot of the poke (camber) the rims will be. Should lock up pretty damn nice!

Unreal . Still tuned in for this. Over the top sicknest.

Thanks! Much appreciated.

Lookin good. I love G bodys.

Thanks....I love me a clean G body as well, and this should hold me over until I can afford a convertable 61 SS Impala! :)

Hopefully if things go well we should get the frame into a completed rolling chassis in the next week or two here. Major hold up right now is trying to figure out why the hardened studs I picked up are so much different than the Caprice front Spindles/brakes I put on. In any event we are on the hunt for some new lug nuts for the front studs, and probably end up having to purchase some different hardened studs.
