for 15's, depending on power, i use 3-5 cubes per 15. i had my old 15's in about 4 cubes per sub with ~12 sq inches of port per foot. and i personally wouldnt tune to 29 hz, i find it pointless. i stay in the mid 30's. you're only going about .5 cubes bigger per sub after displacement (give or take .5 for displacement), so i think you'll be fine

If you make the box oversize. Then you don't need as much power. If you make box too small. Over power. As far as bracing. Make it 2 layers thick all way around and interlock the 2nd layer over the first. I always glass the outside of my boxes. Extra strength.

what do you mean by interlock the 1st and the 2nd layer?

Making a box too big isnt bad, just cut up some MDF to use as "filler" and add it internally to the box to take up the extra space. On a side note, decreasing internal volume without modifying the port will decrease tuning frequency. Can always mod the port later.

Yes bracing counts as filler.

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.

modding the port would be hard for me to do!

what do you mean by interlock the 1st and the 2nd layer?

Say you made the 1st layer of the box where the baffle for the subs layed on top of the 4 corners. When you go around to putting a 2nd layer of mdf on. Make the 2nd .75 inches shorter on each side and raise the corners of the box. So the pattern overlays. Making it stronger.
