portchop002
Hey guys I have a Hifonics Brutus 2005D running two 12" Pioneer SPL-3004, I have them running in parallel so its a 1 Ohm lead on the amp and if I have the system thumping the amp will shut off and the only way to get it back is to turn off the H/U and turn it back on. So today I wired them in Series so that would be a 4 Ohm Lead if im correct which is only 650 watts and kinda makes me wana cry but the amp will stay on. Anyone know whats wrong???? Mastersound15
i had that same problem but with me the issue was that the amps are two ohm stable and the speakers were wired at 1 ohm. plus only one side of the amp would get hot and really quick two. 2007 Pontiac G6 on 20's Current System- Jensen VM-9312 in-dash (1) Kicker 1500.1 (2) DD 1500 Series 12's Running Knu Koncepts 1/0 wiring 145.6db- Floorboard 162.9db- Port --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1983 Toyota Corolla Station Wagon (SPL Vehicle) (Under Reconstruction)
Coolwazabi
maybe voltage issues or clipping...
Mastersound15
doesn't it take less power if the speakers are wired at 1 ohm's instead of 4ohm's? 2007 Pontiac G6 on 20's Current System- Jensen VM-9312 in-dash (1) Kicker 1500.1 (2) DD 1500 Series 12's Running Knu Koncepts 1/0 wiring 145.6db- Floorboard 162.9db- Port --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1983 Toyota Corolla Station Wagon (SPL Vehicle) (Under Reconstruction)
portchop002
I dont think its voltage, I have a 2 Battery's the huge Mercedes one up front and a Yellow Top in the back and theres a 5 Farad Cap and i check the voltage often since there is a voltage meter on the cap and im always around 16 voltz. The amp is 1 Ohm stable so im so confused. No Sponsors, No Stickers, No Replicas ALL GANGSTAhttp://www.cardomain.com/ride/853307
Mastersound15
check the wiring diagram of the speakers. see what ohms they are 2007 Pontiac G6 on 20's Current System- Jensen VM-9312 in-dash (1) Kicker 1500.1 (2) DD 1500 Series 12's Running Knu Koncepts 1/0 wiring 145.6db- Floorboard 162.9db- Port --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1983 Toyota Corolla Station Wagon (SPL Vehicle) (Under Reconstruction)
Coolwazabi
maybe the gains are set too high or the amp is wired like to .5 and is getting too hot...

portchop002
The subs are Dual 4 Ohms so i have them Parallel which is a 2 Ohm lead and since there two of them it drops down to 1 Ohm, I do have the gain all the way up but i have no bass boost and everything else is very low, the subsonic is at 35Hz, the Phase is at about 90, I mean I dont feel the amp should be doing this, i was thinking about wiring up a couple of fans back there to see what happens That website is not correct the amp has 2 channels and the lowest for each channel is 2 Ohms Heres a better look at the amp http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Hifonics_Brutus_BX2005D/ No Sponsors, No Stickers, No Replicas ALL GANGSTAhttp://www.cardomain.com/ride/853307
