so i'm fairly new to the whole xbox thing, got mine about a month ago etc.

but i was looking into getting my 360 flashed by this guy

http://reno.craigslist.org/vgm/1563047320.html

i had a couple of questions though, i am looking to, uhhh back up some games onto my hdd (will buy a 120gb if i want to do this) so i dont have to get up to switch my discs every time i want to play something else.

if i get it flashed using the firmware he uses, and i play one of the backed up games on live will i be banned? like if i borrow a my brothers game, put it on the hdd, he takes the game back, i play live without the disc will i be banned?

is this something you guys would recommend or does it lead to alot of issues down the road?

thanks alot, if you dont wanna post in here saying 'i have a flashed xbox' etc. please shoot me a pm

they banned I think it was 500,000 boxes lol. Mine and my friends all got banned. And it does not matter if you download the games to the hard drive you still have to put the disk in or it won't work. It is only good for preventing the xbox from over heating and slower loading screens.

Why wouldn't you just have one modded xbox and one regular one? You would still save money in "backed up" games if you could store them without the discs.. which has to be possible.

Maybe not from flashing but an actual mod should work. I remember that is how they discovered modders on Xbox 1 and XBL because of the serial #'s on the harddrives would be off or something the HDD looked fishy, that was all they needed. Meanwhile those people had a switch they thought they could hit to turn it off modding hehe
