lilwim Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 i have the following problem: the subs i use are designed to go as low as 25 hz, but 1 year ago i got into an other room which is way smaler then my old one, in my old room the lowest i could get was like 35 hz, in the new room, with the same system, the bass doesnt get any spls under like 60 hz.... is there somhow a way how i can make it go lower because this sucks!

lilwim Posted January 28, 2010 Author Report Posted January 28, 2010 subs are both faced to the corners, cant put them any closer because then the cone would hit the wall, anyways, don't know the specs of the enclosure because its one of those standart things, anny suggestions how I could make a better enclosure when I build one myself? btw i found out that with one sub it allready gets better so the custom enclosure will be for 1 sub.

Knaw man don't fire the woofers into the walls. Turn them around so they are firring into the room then leave about 3 to 4 inch around the back and the side thats against the wall and it might help. So 2 sides 3 to 4 inches away from the wall and the 3rd side that you will see from your sitting position and the woofer firring towards what ever you have in there. (entertainment center, table). Now if there is nothing inbetwean the 2 enclosures and the 2 woofers are firring directly at each other try reversing the polarity on only one of them. lilwim Posted January 28, 2010 Author Report Posted January 28, 2010 all doesn't work, i think my room is just to small for the subs, it's around 2.5 by 3.5 meters... i guess thats way to small for low frequenties
