Rainkey Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 Well at the moment i blew up my 2000w mtx amp with my 2 AudioPipe TXX-APX12RD 12's. There running at 1ohm at the moment. I need a amp that wont overheat from daily driving. Im looking to invest in the amp after winter is over but i want to get ideas so i can look around cause i still got some time. So please post up idea's or links of some amps you think should do the trick.

Austin175 Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 well maybe for the right price i would let my colosuss go but i dont kno yet it but its rated at 3200 at 1 ohm kia spectra 4 door HU-a kenwood kdc-692x optima red top under the hood ( kinetik battery or powermaster in the back ) Iraggi 260amp H/O alternator 1 set of knu kandy 1/0 guage wiring kit ( 2 more sets coming ) front speakers - back speakers - 2 12" lv 4's with lvl 5 softparts ( going to be 4 in near future) Sundown 3500d( going to be 2 sometime ) i have boughten from - Bass14(smd), ddbump(caraudioclassifieds)

New setup, old ride... QX56 is staying stock til I get loud... It's only getting walled off if I don't meet my goal @ SBN. Pioneer AVIC-N2 (12) 12" RE SXs old model.... (3) AB VFL 500.1 @ 1ohm each Dual 300amp Ohio Gen alts.... (10) Northstar NSB-125s 26ft3 @ 33hz w/ a ton of port area 156.5 @ 40hz @ dash, Db Drag style / 153.2 Bassrace

Marlo Stanfield Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 To run a true 3k watt amp like a Sundown 3000D, you're gonna need something like an HO alt + big batt in back.. Or you could get away with big 3 upgrade and 2 big batts. To have a proper electrical you should expect to spend at a minimum $500 for which ever route you choose. 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... So please post up idea's or links of some amps you think should do the trick. Get the audiopipe 3000 d, you can get it off an eBay store for $310 it pushes my two 18s great with out over heating
