zaxfire69 Posted June 1, 2007 Report Share Posted June 1, 2007 Just like the thread says..I already have 4 volts coming out of my Sony radio..My Phoenix Gold PLD-1 will put 8 Volts out to my amp..Should I do that on my Us amps Xt4000d?? I don't want to mess anything up or burn any inputs up..What would installing this give me as far as a positive gain for my system..Any replys would be greatly appreciated..Thanks.. The only benifet you will get from your line driver is a higher input voltage resulting in a lower gain setting on your amp. Your amp will still work just as hard to make its power. A 4 volt preamp signal is strong enough unless your running multiple amps off that one preout and are distributing your 4volt signal through out more amps.
