davidr Posted October 13, 2006 Report Share Posted October 13, 2006 Connect them to the -3dB setting on the crossover. They are getting too much power. When you say the amp is only turned up half way you have to account for the pre-out voltage on your headunit. So halfway could mean at full power for the comps and if the amp can supply more they could be getting more than they need. My tweeters do the same thing If set the gains too high.
