AudiobahnCaddy17
Hey guys and gals. im new to the site, but have been surfing it for a while before, loved the forum and site so i had to join. but anyway, i got my cadillac eldorado around this same time last year, i was 15 then and was working on it whenever i got a chance to. just little things like sanding and getting it ready for paint. then i figured that i should throw a system in after riding with my buddy for a while, he had i think two 10" mtx thunder 1000's or something and we thought we were badass. but i now have realized after putting together my own build and checking out this site it was really weak. but anyway, i originally got a 12" audiobahn alum q woofer, an A8000T amp and a capacitor. i then built a box to the specs in the tech manual that came with it, but made a few of my own adjustments. after the car sat all winter i got it back out and went through the whole thing again. started to work on the thing here and their again. then i got into drivers ed and started to get closer to the whole license thing, so i decided i wanted to get it done. i have been working on it for about 4 weeks straight, and have gotten the paint all done. i did an old school two tone look with the pinstripes painted on, so theres no lines or tape stripes on the top of the clear. about $500 or so just in materials for the paint. after i stumbled onto this site, i realized i needed more bump. so i got another exact duplicate of my setup now and installed that last weekend. i know there were some things that i could have done better, but this was my first ever build and my first car. oh and i put sony xplod 6 1/4 in the front doors, and xplod 6x9s in the rear deck. now i know the xplods aren't that great, but they work for now and they will be replaced soon. just wondering what other people out their think of my ride. all the kids at school dig it, just wondering if people from other parts of the country do. any tips on what i should do next time or anything would be great. ill post as many pics as i can. ill start with the out side before, then after, then the sound system. thanks guys and gals Quote "There's no replacement for displacement" 89 Cadillac Eldorado Custom two tone paint 2 12" Audiobahn Alum Q woofers 2 Audiobahn A8000T amps 2 Audiobahn Capacitors Alpine Headunit

AudiobahnCaddy17
if what i have read and was told when i bought everything, the subs can handle 1500watts each and the amps are pushing 1000watts each (thats what i was told when i bought them), with 1 farad capacitors for each amp. i have 1/0 gauge wire from the battery to a distribution block with fuses that splits the power into two 4 gauge wires that run the lenght of the car back to the caps, then to the amps, and you get the picture.
