Installing an Alarm - 2001 Chevy Impala

Recommended Posts

Just looking to see if anyone has ever installed an alarm in a 2001 Impala. Mines has the factory passlock crap in it and I've heard it needs some sort of bypass? Just trying to get input from people who've done installs on Impalas. As for an alarm, not sure which to get. I figure most are all the same (feature wise, not quliaty wise).

You are wrong... lol

Passlock two is resistance based... not transponder. He needs a PLJX or a 555L... something of that sorts.

Everything on those impala's is easy... it's all located at the BCM high in the driver kick panel... well other than your ignition wires that are located behind the key switch....
